Lara & Matic gave us the kind of brief every photographer secretly hopes for: skip the detail shots, just capture the moments. No styled flat lays, no forced prep photos - just them, their people, and the day as it actually unfolded.

The heat had finally broken by the time we got to the venue, which worked out well for everyone, including us, since at one point we managed to step right on Lara's veil while she was walking through the crowd. She handled it with way more grace than we deserved. Matic's a filmmaker himself, so he got exactly what we were going for, and honestly the whole day felt less like a shoot and more like two friends with cameras trying to keep up.

That's what really stood out about this one. Lara & Matic weren't interested in posing for us. They wanted to be with their people, laughing, dancing, barely sitting still long enough for a portrait. So that's what we gave them. Here's what they had to say.
